Holly Maestas

Holly joined the law firm of Lawson, Beck & Sandlin in 2020 as a senior member of the firm’s litigation team.  Prior to joining the firm, Holly managed her own law practice focusing primarily on litigation, employment law, civil rights, family law, and criminal defense.

Holly has handled hundreds of family law litigation matters and enjoys helping families move on to a brighter future.

Holly has experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants in civil litigation, including general contract, tort, and civil litigation, constitutional law/civil rights, employment law, and education/school law matters.

Holly has served as an investigator and legal advisor in corporate, organization, institution, school, and university settings involving formal Title IX complaints, allegations of inappropriate or unlawful conduct (including sexual harassment), privacy/privilege violations, and HIPAA violations, as well as general regulatory compliance issues.

Holly has also represented clients facing felony and misdemeanor charges, at the municipal, state and federal levels, criminal appeals, at both the state and the federal levels, and juvenile defense.  Holly has served as an assistant public defender at the state level.  Holly has succeeded in resolving many criminal cases favorably simply by pursuing a diligent investigation in to methods employed by law enforcement and the prosecution and then comparing her findings with the applicable law.

Holly is a registered mediator, for general civil matters, with the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution.

Holly also enjoys representing landlords in eviction matters.

Holly, her husband Matt, and their two boys, live in Peachtree City.  They enjoy spending time together and being outdoors.  Holly loves snow skiing, traveling, and occasionally writes poetry.
